The Ceramics and Building Materials Engineering Branch in the Materials Engineering Department conducts a field visit

As part of the extracurricular activities of the Ceramics and Building Materials Engineering Branch, and based on the principle of enhancing the practical and applied aspects of the branch’s students, the branch conducted a field visit to the Building Research Department of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The students were received by the Director General of the Department, Senior Chief Engineer Hussein Faraj Abdul Sahib; the Head of the Roads Department, Senior Chief Engineer Masoud Amir Ismail; the Head of the Planning and Follow-up Department, Senior Chief Engineer Ahmed Jabbar Mohsen; and the Deputy Head of the Glass and Insulating Materials Department, Senior Chief Engineer Zeina Faisal Khadir. They explained and presented all the practical details.

The visit included visiting several laboratories and departments to familiarize students with the devices and equipment used to test ceramic materials in the department. During the field visit, the students were able to see the progress of work in their laboratories and benefit from the practical aspects to enhance academic studies and exchange scientific expertise for the public good.

At the end of the field visit, the faculty members commended the efforts of the students. The efforts made, the warm welcome, and the benefits gained from these visits have helped us gain knowledge and scientific experience for future participation in building our beloved homeland.
